Primary 2a have been very busy. In Numeracy we have been counting in 10s. We have used objects to help us and parts of our body.
We have also been learning about 3D shapes. We have been naming them, sorting them, talking about their sides and corners and using them to build to meet a criteria.

A very busy week!
Primary 1 have been developing their literacy and numeracy skills this week. We began our Jolly Phonics programme and have been practising reading and writing the sounds s, a, t and i. We looked for objects beginning with the sounds in our playground and have used sand, shaving foam and chalk to make the letters. We have also practised counting and  number formation.
Construction
P1 have had lots of fun with our construction resources this week. Team work and problem solving skills are very important when creating and building models and tall structures.
Our First Days
Primary 1 have settled in very well to Our Lady of the Missions. We have made lots of new friends and enjoyed  a range of fun activities. We especially like going outside – our playground is very colourful! We are really looking forward to learning lots of new things in the coming year.
