This term as part of our RERC curriculum, Primary 2c have been exploring how God created every part of us – eyes, hair skin and heart – uniquely. In the Outdoor Classroom, we used different natural materials to create our self portraits.
We know that our emerging personalities and abilities make us all unique, loved and cherished by God.
Primary 1 enjoyed taking part in Our Lady’s procession to the Chestnut Garden. We took part in some prayers to Our Lady and sang some hymns.
P1d and P7d loved working together to solve the clues on our Easter hunt. They managed to sequence the Easter story and really enjoyed getting a special treat at the end!
P1d and P1e took part in the stations of the cross as we learned about the Easter story.
P1b have been learning about the wildlife in Scotland. We thought it would be a good idea to feed the birds as the weather had been very cold recently. We used recycled plastic bottles and yoghurt pots to make some bird feeders. It was tricky to fill the bottles with the seeds so we used funnels to make it a bit quicker and easier.
Father Stephen came to visit us today to celebrate Catholic Education Week. We enjoyed singing hymns and listening to his stories about why kindness is very important.
We have listened to the parable of the Lost Sheep. We know that we are all special to God and that he will never give up on us.
This week we celebrated the Baptism of Jesus. We learned all about the Sacrament of Baptism and shared this with our parents during assembly. We loved learning the Mallaig Sprinkling Song and performing it in front of our parents and friends. Everyone said that we were amazing! We are very proud of ourselves.
