Primary 6a enjoyed some active maths today.
They consolidated their learning through play!
Today Primary 6 took part in the K’Nex Challenge!
They had to work in groups to create a bridge.
All children had to follow a design brief:
The bridge must be at least 19cm tall and at least 30cm long.
Primary 6 had to problem solve and communicate clearly with one another.
Everyone had lots of fun!
Well done to Luke Gallagher and Gordon Grant for winning!
Runners up were Lily Cook and Orlaith Kilpatrick.
Judges found it very hard to pick a winner.
A great day had by all!
For Internet Safety Day Primary 6a have been learning about the dangers of posting personal information online.
They watched ‘Jigsaw’ and discussed the advantages and disadvantages of using social media.
Primary 6d are becoming more confident when planning and building their creative ideas during K’Nex challenges. They’re almost ready for the competition day!
Primary 6b enjoyed using our new VR headsets. Ask your child about the wonderful places they visited today.

Primary 6b have been learning about the dangers of smoking as part of their topic in Health and Wellbeing. We are using an online software ‘Printing Press’ to creat information leaflets.
Primary 6 have been parctising hard for their K’Nex challenge next week. We have been developing our team work skills.
Well done to Saoirse who recently competed in an Irish dancing competition and won 3rd place .We are proud of your great achievement .
Primary 6 enjoyed their visit to the new school library. They took part in a scavenger hunt to find different types of genres of books.
