Today we were learning all about different materials and their uses. We then went on a hunt and separated what we found into Natural and Man-Made bundles during some sorting activities.

Reading Buddies
Over the past term we’ve been meeting our Reading Buddies twice a week. For both P2 and P7 pupils, this is an opportunity to practise their reading skills such as fluency and expression.
P2 love working with the older pupils and hearing the stories that P7 like reading.

Primary Two have been loving our current topic, Our Place in Space. We had a free flow afternoon, where pupils worked across the classroom. There were may activities covered
Painting the solar system, Making aliens, Building rockets, Using the chromebooks, Writing and drawing space stories.
Our afternoon ended with story time with Miss McHaffie.
One frosty morning P2 wrapped up warm and headed out in the frost.
We were working on finding spaces during games. The first task was to create our own space circles. Following that we completed some instruction games and simple instructions. Finally we played a throwing and catching game focusing on alertness.
Before Christmas we were learning about forces – push, pull and balanced forces. We used lots of practical experiments to investigate.
