World Book Day!

We have loved celebrating World Book Day today!

We started today with The Masked Reader!
We have to guess what teacher were in disguise and what book they were reading!

We were also very lucky to have the reading committee lead an exiting activity.

Finally we finished the day with a BBC authors live event.

Make Your Mark

As part of our Mark you Mark passport, we’ve been preparing and trying a simple recipe. We’ve been learning all about Oats. We’ve had a virtual visit to a farm in Stirling and seen the journey from seed to store. So we used Scottish Oats to make flapjacks.

We took turns to pour, weigh, stir, flatten and decorate.

Everyone had a taste and it was a thumbs up all round!

Foreat School returns!

P2 were over the moon to be back to school and back in the Forest this week. Together they explored the environment, visited Grandfather tree and set off for an adventure. They were straight to work climbing trees, making ‘concrete’, playing on the rope swing and of course looking for worms.

They work in teams to create, explore and climb, all topped off with a lovely singsong around the camp.

It was great to see how much everyone enjoyed the day and we are looking forward to next week.

Book Week Scotland

This week Primary two have been encouraged to share books which they enjoy.  We listened to the stories two pupils brought in and both got a big thumbs up.

On Friday we received our Read, Write, Count book bags and took these home. Today we read The Perfect Fit. We were thinking about how our class community comes together.
We then used shapes around our class to show how every shape can be useful to make the perfect thing.
