We played Battleships to develop our confidence with grid references. Some of us got quite competitive!
We were very creative when making our bird feeders!
We explored the story of the Centurion’s Servant and acted it out. We focused on expression using the exact words of the Bible.
We thoroughly enjoyed our afternoon in the library on Friday and having time to read with our peers.
We took part in the RSPB Birdwatch this afternoon. We built shelters and collected information on the different types birds we could spot in the sky. We then compared this with data from last year, which links perfectly to our maths topic of data handling!
We loved our Kahoot Quiz this afternoon which tested our knowledge on languages spoken around the world. We even discovered interesting information about different countries teachers in St. Mark’s have worked in and worked out tricky translations!
Using our knowledge of the Roman army, we designed and built catapults. We had to make sure that the pompom could be launched further than a metre and many of us were successful!
Thank you to Catrin and Annie for sharing information on World Children’s Day. We look forward to completing the research task you have set us!
Yesterday we worked in teams to create a game using the loose parts. We were very creative and persevered when some of our ideas didn’t go to plan. It was great to see some leadership when teaching other groups!
