We had a great afternoon sharing books we love, taking part in book bingo, designing a cover for a ‘wrapped Christmas book’ and listening to each other read!

Well done to all of our girls who made their Guide Promise this week. They have promised to commit their time and energy to supporting the common good within the local area. We are all very proud of you for making such an inspirational promise.

P6 had a great time today with Kristy and Cat from Fischy Music, learning lots of festive songs and joining in on the fun actions. It certainly did make us all joyful and spread the ‘Christmas Cheer!’ ❤️

Our Elf came to P6 to save everyone this Christmas by asking for donations for our local food bank.🥫🎄🦌⛄️

We’re rasing food for the food bank.

This term our IDL topic will be the Victorians. The children worked in their active  learning groups to explore 3 overall themes: the reign of Queen Victoria; the divide between the rich and poor and a Victorian timeline to allow them to discuss and identify what they would like to explore further and find out more about. These activities allowed the children to populate the ‘What we would like to know’ section of our KWL grid. We are all excited to get learning about the past!!!

We were very fortunate to have Miss Paterson, a languages specialist, come to work with us. She used the first session to get to know us all and see how good the children were already with their French listening, talking, reading and writing. She was super impressed and is going to continue working with us over the next few weeks to cover the theme ‘sports’. The children discussed what they would like to learn about Sports and questions and answers they would like to be able to ask and answer in French.

P6 enjoyed working with Mr. McKenna using the extremely helpful Numeracy resource {Numeracy Blueprint)!
