The children thoroughly enjoyed learning about their peers chosen books to read and many have contributed their pre-read favourites to our class library.

P6a’s new IDL topic is the Victorians and our class novel ‘Street Child’ by Bernie Doherty explores life in this era in a variety of contexts and through the life of a child. We have used the book to skim and scan for key information and the children particularly enjoy the novel being read to them by myself.

To qoute Dr. Seuss “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go”
