Achievement outside of School

A big well done to our P5 pupil, who was awarded the ‘MVP’ (most valuable player) at their winterbowl tournament in Dec.

A big well done for our P5 pupil, who completed a mammoth 22-mile challenge at The Foundry pool, which saw him and his dad rack up 1,416 lengths between them and raise nearly £1000.

A big well done to our P5 pupil,  who took 1st place, winning her a gold medal, on Sunday for Double Mini Trampolining at the Scottish National Championships 2019 in Perth!

 

British Isles: Mapping

We have started our new topic this week. Our topic is the British Isles, we will be finding out about the landscapes around the British Isles and how these were formed and how they are used now.

Pupils have created questions about the British Isles which we will explore over the term. These questions included

Are there volcanoes in the British Isles?

What the tallest mountain?

Do sharks live in the British Isles?

Mapping Skills

Our first task was to identify countries, borders, seas and oceans using atlases.
