Numeracy – Measurement
Our new numeracy topic is measurement. We have explored measuring in non-standard and standard units. We have been comparing and ordering objects to see what is longer, taller or shorter. We have been learning how to measure in centimetres and used a ruler to measure classroom objects. We even tried to put ourselves into height order!
Number bonds with the Numicons
The diamonds and the triangles enjoyed working with the numicons as concrete material to support our learning of number bonds to 10.
STEM – today we are using engineering skills
Handwashing
Today, we looked at the importance of hand washing. We learned all about germs, discussing how small they are and how we cannot see them. We painted our hands to practise washing our hands!
