Book Bug
We would love you or one of your family members to join us for one of our Bookbug sessions during week beginning 25^th November.  Younger siblings are also more than welcome to attend these lively, interactive sessions with Joanne and Lynne. Dogs
A reminder please to request that dogs are kept on a lead if bringing them to the gates and surrounding areas at pick up and drop off times.  Please could we ask that all dogs are kept back from the school gates. This is to help keep everyone safe and also to recognise that some children and adults may be a little scared of dogs that are off the lead.  Many thanks for your help and understanding with this. Farewell Mrs Kerr
Many of our families know Mrs Angela Kerr very well as Principal Teacher of our Nursery.  I am truly delighted to share the wonderful news that Angela has recently secured a Head Teacher position at Cartmill Family Centre.  I am sure you will want to join me in wishing Angela much happiness and continued success throughout her future career.  Angela’s last day at Netherlee will be Friday 8^th November.  We will miss you greatly Angela but I couldn’t be happier for you and know that you will do a fantastic job in your new nursery. Parents Meetings
On our Annual Calendar you’ll see that we have Parent Meetings during weeks beginning 4^th November and 11^th November 2024. After the October holiday we will have sheets available for you to sign up for a 10 minute appointment with your child’s keyworker. This is a really valuable opportunity to take time to talk about your child’s development and progress at nursery.  Continue reading →

Our Netherlee Apple Tree
Over the last few weeks our children have been picking apples, making juice and crumble with some of the apples from the Netherlee apple tree.  We were so glad to be able to share our bumper crop of cooking apples with you too. We’d really love to see photos of what you made at home as these can then be used in one of our floor books. Thank you. We know that some of you have been concerned about the apple tree looking a bit sorry for itself since it blew over during summer. Please don’t worry, we’ll soon have it staked up and growing happily again soon. Continue reading →

Chatter Café
All nursery and school parents and carers are very welcome to come along to our Chatter Café on Friday 13th September from 9:15am until 10am in our school Hub. This is an extremely informal opportunity to chat to members of the Leadership Team and to meet other parents and carers.   It is always really helpful to share ideas and thoughts about Netherlee life and to enjoy a coffee/ tea together. You’ll also be able to enjoy some delicious home baking, made and served by a group of pupils too! Please do pop in if you can, even just for 10minutes- we really look forward to seeing you.
