Stop Motion Creations

During ICT lessons we have been learning how to create our own stop motion movies. We used play doh today to create characters and then we used the stop motion app to film a scene. A great start to creating animations P3!

Christmas Party Fun

This afternoon we were all dressed up and we got in the Christmas spirit to enjoy a Christmas party 2020 style. Although we weren’t allowed to sing or dance, we still had a great time taking part in theĀ  classroom games and some outdoor games too! We also really enjoyed our crisps and juice.

The Grinch has struck

This morning when Mrs Forsyth came into school she was met with chaos…the cheeky Grinch has visited during the night and turned the classroom upside down. Have a look at the video of the room!

We decided we would work as a class and create a poem to tell the Grinch that he would not destroy our Christmas spirit, have a listen…

Art and Technology

This afternoon we combined some art and technology. We used the VR headsets to look at street art around the world and we looked at images from different decades and discussed how street art had changed over the years.

We then had a go at creating our own street art using pastels, chalk powder and stencils.

Welcome Mr Claus to P3a

It has been a very exciting week in P3a. We have a new door display and lovely fairy lights decorating the classroom to give it a winter feel.

The most exciting new addition to the classroom wasn’t an elf this year…..instead it was a dinosaur called Mr Claus. Mr Claus arrived with a letter from Santa…

Mr Claus has turned out to be a VERY cheeky dinosaur. So far this week Mr Claus has stepped on paint and put footsteps everywhere, become tangled in the fairy lights, stolen the class advent calendar and ATE the chocolate!!!

Magnetic compass

During science on Friday, we were learning about magnets and where you find magnets in the world and how they help in every day life. Mr McDonald showed us that a compass has a magnet in it and we then used Styrofoam, a needle and water to make our own floating compass.

Odd Sock Day

We loved taking part in Odd Sock Day today. The idea behind Odd Sock Day is to encourage discussions about how we are all different and how this is a good thing! We looked at different ways that we should treat each other and show each other respect and not judge anyone because they are different from ourselves. We finished off the lesson by designing our own odd socks for bunting with lots of different words that make us different and make us unique!
