Over the last few weeks we have been learning all about line drawings and how to create pop out art using our faces. We haven’t introduced colour yet, so far we have been working with a variety of width of black pens to draw our portraits.
Can you guess who these portraits are? Put your answers in the comments and we will let you know if you are correct!
This afternoon during science, the class continued learning about the Sun and the Earth and why our planet spends half its time in darkness and the other half in sunlight. They learnt that it isn’t the sun that moves around Earth, but instead that it is the Earth that moves around the Sun.
We then did an experiment using a torch and a globe to show how the Earth rotates on it’s axis showing night and day.
It has been a very busy maths morning here in P3/2.
The spheres have been learning all about fractions and reading a fraction of an amount.
The cuboids have been learning all about money and calculating amounts.
The circles have just started learning all about volume and capacity and how to read a scale. This morning we were learning about ml and using a variety of jugs to measure amounts within in.
Yesterday we were worked with the Digital Leaders to learn how to use Jam Boards on the laptops. We loved learning a new skill and we plan to use this new skill in class during literacy and science lessons. Jam boards allow 4 different users access to the same document so that everyone can work on the same document at one time and each add their own thoughts and ideas.
