P1 thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Busby Library this morning to receive their bookbug bags for Book Week Scotland.

We have loved reading the all books in class. We will be voting for our favourite book soon so have another read at home and see which one you like best!

Today, the Red reading group worked hard on their talking and listening skills.

We read a non-fiction book, called ‘Make a Monster’ and then drew our own scary monsters. Then we had to describe our monsters to a partner, who did their best to draw it. We realised that simple drawings are easier to describe and that we had to use really specific language, such as ‘a big triangle’ or ‘four spikes’.

Miss Paisey and Miss Wight were very proud of our efforts! 

We had a great morning of multi games with Mr Cox. Health and wellbeing week has been very popular in P1! 

P1 and P7 buddies worked together for ‘Teamwork Tuesday’ to design a shelter to keep our puppets dry. We worked very well together and all the puppets stayed dry – well done!

P1 had a great afternoon learning about Guy Fawkes and painting fireworks pictures!

Happy Halloween from Primary 1! We have had a very busy week, making potions, decorating spooky biscuits, writing spells and going outside for a Halloween scavenger hunt. It was spook-tacular!
