Hello and Welcome to the P4.14 Blog

Thank you to those who were able to join us for our Showcase Event.  We loved showing you our Bee games that we had made and we really enjoyed playing them with you.  For those who were not able to come, here are some photographs.

We had to make sure that the adults stuck by the rules!!

A great time was had by all!

This week we have been using our technology skills to design a fun board game. Our board game is all about bees. We used what we had learned in science to get ideas for game cards and out literacy skills to write instructions on each card. We have been busy !

 

 

 

   

 

 

 

Some of the pupils from our class took part in the Stem challenge. Here are the Mars Rovers that they made.

Well done! We enjoyed seeing your great inventions.

 

On Friday we had a great afternoon showing our Time Capsules to the class. The children spoke very clearly and confidently about what they had chosen to put in their time capsule and why. It was so interesting to see favourite toys, special photos, old passports, a little hospital band from birth, favourite sweets and books….. It was a really interesting afternoon and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Well done to Everyone.

   

 

  

 

 

 

 

    

 

 

In Mearns masters we were tasked with being Designers.

We were asked to find a problem and create a solution. We looked

into the uses of paper, where it comes from and how we can begin to think

about reusing it usefully. We decided to use cardboard to make our very own Marble Runs.

 

We invited Primary 1 to come and play with our marble runs.
