I’m sure you have heard by now about our tent and the fire station! Well we had a very special delivery today from the North Pole for primary 1.1. As you can see in this short video, we have received a wonderful fire station with fire engine and this huge sensory tent. The children were absolutely delighted with these and we had a super day using them.
Month: December 2020
Christmas jumper day and Panto day.
Monday was our Christmas jumper day and we even got to watch a Pantomime! As you can see we managed to fit in some learning in between all this fun!
Phew! What a busy week we’ve had in P1.1
Well the boys and girls in P1.1 have had a very busy week. We’ve looked at symmetry with our favourite Lego, shapes and are getting better at our sounds every day. Look at some of the things we have gotten up to…
X marks the spot
Today our our new sound was ‘x’. One of our play activities was to create our very own treasure map leading to the buried treasure. We used an ❌ to mark the spot. We had lots of fun coming up with ideas for our map; scary sharks, pirate ships and crocodile 🐊 infested water 😱. They turned out very well and some of us used them during role play to find our imaginary treasure. 💎
Build build build….
Whether it’s train tracks or Kapla, we love constructing different things in P1.1!
How did we do?
Busy bees
We we were very busy in P1.1 yesterday. Here are some pictures of us working hard. We even had a big ‘y’ car track on the floor but Mrs McDonagh was having too much fun to take a picture of this!
