Homework

P2.5 Homework

Week beginning 29th October

Homework will be very different this week. Reading books will be issued, please read this with your child. Phonics sounds will be recorded on your child’s homework sheet. Please hear your child say the words. No maths or spelling this week. Instead, get creative with your pumpkin! I will give everyone a pumpkin to take home on Friday 26th. I would like you to do something with your pumpkin. You could carve it, draw on it, make soup with it, write a story about it, anything thing at all! The more creative, the better! Please bring in your creation or bring in a picture of it next Friday. We will have a show and tell type of event. Have fun and happy Halloween!

Outdoor learning

Today we went on an autumn walk, exploring in the wooded area behind the pitch. We found wands (sticks) which we will design next week. We had to take our time and find a wand that fitted us perfectly and felt right (like Harry Potter). We also collected leaves too which we will use to make more transient art. Some pupils from p6 helped us find our wands and leaves and talk about autum.

Have a look at our fab pictures. Abracadabra!  🧙‍♂️ 🌟 🍁

Writing

Some of the children chose to write stories after playing in the police station. They wrote about a crime that had been solved. 👮‍♀️ 👮‍♂️

Transient art

We have been making transient art. This is where we use natural objects ot make pictures and take photos of them. The children loved using the ipad to take photos and videos of their creations.  They look amazing! 👍😁
