Balloon Rockets

During Science this week we designed and created Balloon Rockets.

First we made a cylinder out of a piece of paper. The we got some string and put it through the paper and tied one end to something in the room while someone in the group held the other end.  We then blew up a balloon and pinched the end while we taped the balloon to the paper cylinder. We then launched our rockets.

We talked about Thrust and how it causes our balloons to move forwards. We also discussed how the size of the balloon and the angle of the string could affect how far the balloon went.

I had so much fun – Aminah

I found it very exciting – Kathryn

Pancake Day

On Pancake Day we got to make Fairtrade pancakes. We put on lots of Fairtrade toppings like bananas, jam, sugar and  honey.

The other two Primary 4 classes made the pancakes with us and they where delicious.

We had lots of fun.  by Logan Abdullah and  Benjamin
