Yesterday we joined P6b for a drama experience. We really enjoyed the warm-up games: Splat and the number concentration game. We then did a series of frozen images in our groups and finished with Conscience Alley. We tweeted all the groups working.

It was very hard but fun. I got nervous but excited at the same time! (Katie) It was really nerve-wracking because I know there are a lot of other very smart Nonagons! (Louise) I felt very happy because I won- I thought I’d come last! (Arran)
A fitting end to eight weeks of very hard word. Their tremendous progress was obvious today as P6a confidently sat their Bikeability Level 2 tests. Nervous at the beginning of the afternoon, but all smiles at the end! A huge thank you to John for supporting our on-road training!
Riley thought the smoothies were delicious! Steven liked all the games: Hazel thought it was fun trying to put the pebble in the cup while Rosalin noticed that the games were to improve our balance.
Wonderful fun putting the finishing touches to our stories which we wrote for the Literacy Cluster Challenge. We have illustrated, animated and filmed the retelling of these stories.
Apologies to the one group missing from this post. They will feature next week!
Potted Sports, in the morning, was really good fun – my favourite one was the football. (Arran) I thought it was exciting fun because the music made me more energetic and ready to do things. (Molly)
Congratulations to our medal winners this afternoon and well done to everyone else for being such good sports!
Hope you enjoy looking at our examples of Pointillist Printing (some not yet finished)!
We printed our favourite tropical climate animals using paint and cotton buds.
Louise: I enjoyed it because all the children were either competitive or just wanting to have a go. Riley: I liked it because some of my group kept running around in circles and it was funny. Jack: I expected the children to be not very good at it but they were great at the football and the javelin. Kara: I liked it because I got to meet new kids from the nursery and get to know them. Beth: I liked it because some of the kids stood on the cone in the obstacle course instead of going round it. and it was funny.
Well done Primary 6 your help was appreciated very much – you showed great leadership skills.
Primary 6a have restarted the daily mile but we have all noticed a drop in the fitness/stamina of some pupils. Hopefully this will increase over the next few weeks as the weather improves and will enable us to reach our target of 1000 miles. (We are sitting at 868 miles today so this is surely achievable!)
A Fabulous afternoon on Thursday in P6a ‘Sharing our Learning’: Kodu, Knex, Science, Social Studies, Art, Outdoor Learning, Playzone. Written feedback included: “Fantastic bunch of kids. So eager to learn. Keep up the good work!” “Fabulous explanations from confident pupils… Well done all!” Thank you to everyone for supporting us!
