We’ve been using the VR equipment as part of our learning about the Ancient Egyptians. We ventured inside Ramesses II’s tomb, viewed the Pyramids of Giza from above and saw a sarcophagus with the head of Anubis right in front of us! It was really amazing!

Bookbug week!
This week is bookbug week. We joined other children all over Scotland to watch Ross Collins in a live author event on BBC iPlayer. He talked about all the books he has written, read us ‘There’s a bear on my chair’ and drew some of his illustrations. Then he showed us how to draw the bear from the story.
Reading superheroes!
In class we have been using our reading superpowers to answer questions, make up our own stories and give our opinions. Ask us who is our favourite hero!
Ancient Egyptian Hieroglyphics
In class we have been learning about Ancient Egyptian writing. It is called hieroglyphics. We tried to write a message to each other using only pictures. It was tricky to understand!
Then we wrote out names in hieroglyphics on our very own cartouche.
