Scots Poetry Drama.

We had so much fun improvising our paired performances of ‘A Dug! A Dug!’ by Bill Keys this week, as part of our drama through Language learning. Having previously learned some Scots vocabulary, we then had to think about interpreting the poem in an energetic and entertaining way for our audiences.

Science Lab – Body Works Programme.

We have been really excited to begin our learning collaboration with the Glasgow Science Centre by participating in their Learning Lab: Body Works Programme this term. During this we will actively explore different systems in the human body. Here we are beginning our research on the Digestive System.

What do we know about time?

We have been reminding ourselves of all the knowledge and understanding we have of the maths concept of time. What better way to do this than to share it with the rest of the school by using our outside playground environment to draw, read and write analogue, digital and 24 hour duration word problems to solve.

S.T.E.M Marble Run Challenge.

This year will be full of active S.T.E.M-based enquiry learning. What better way to begin by challenging ourselves to design and build our own marble runs. We had lots of fun using our mathematical problem-solving skills and developing our ability to engineer structures by working in collaborative groups and partnerships to achieve our goals.

We have had a busy few days settling into the new school year, sharing our Summer experiences and getting to know each other as a class. This year will be full of challenge, creativity and fun, and we are really looking forward to sharing our learning journey in P6C with you too!
