Week beginning 11/9/23

Welcome to our blog for this week.

Team P4/5 have worked hard all week.

“I liked going into the woodlands this week and looking at different trees that are in our school”.  (Isabella)

“I did a lot of hard work in maths and I want to do more.” (Beau)

“I loved finding Scottish rivers using an atlas and putting them onto my own map.” (Sarah)

“I liked writing about my mythical creature and learning about Scottish rivers.” (Jamie)

Last week we were given an extra play for our wonderful behaviour in assembly. We enjoyed our break this week with Mrs McKim.

Outdoor Learning is up and running and this week it was our turn to explore and learn in our natural environment . We took some time to learn about the various shapes of trees and the natural area around us. We then went outside to investigate our environment and feedback to the class on out findings. We were also delighted that it was dry and there was not a bit of mud in sight! (Long may  this continue).

If you go down to the woods today …

Have a wonderful weekend

Love from Team p4/5

Week beginning 4.9.23

Welcome to our Blog . We have had many exciting learning experiences this week.

“I enjoyed at looking at the atlas and trying to identify all the mountain ranges.” (Josh)

“I liked learning about the UN convention of the Rights of the Child and completing  the diamond activity. We had to decide the nine most important ones.” (Oscar)

“This week i enjoyed doing division with remainders.” (Aaron)

“We made our own aerobics routines in PE. We worked in groups and then performed them to the rest of the class. We worked so hard that everyone was sweating.” (Harrison)

“I liked learning about finding things in the atlas and finding Scottish mountains. ” (Jamie)

Working in teams to decide on the most important Rights of the Child. Each group presented to the class and we found that we had many similarities.
Excellent fitness and aerobics steps on display in P.E
Developing our mapping skills. We looked at various pages in the atlas and learned about the key. Then we had to identify various mountain ranges throughout Scotland and plot them onto the blank Scotland map. Some of us had time to colour the map to show the height of the mountains. We did this by creating our own key.
