Good day and welcome to our weekly blog.
This week we have enjoyed Outdoor Learning. We created a seating area in the woodlands for us to sit together and have Circle Time. We also had a chat redesigning the woodlands and how we could allocate each class their own area to develop. We thought it would be a good idea to talk to the Pupil Council about this. We also researched what can affect habitats as well as learning about endangered animals in Scotland.
We continued leaning about different cultures through our Olympic topic. This week our focus was on Cultural Dances from various countries. We learned about several of these and recreated dances from Ireland, Greece and India. We then discovered that New Zealand incorporate the Hakka into their sporting events. We learned the reasons behind this and how important it is to the people of New Zealand, watched the Hakka and tried to recreate aspects of this.
We also attended the Primary 7 Celebration Assembly which was wonderful and we also voted for our winner for Crookfur’s Got Talent.
What a week and we still manage to complete all out Literacy and Mathematics work! Super Stars!
Another busy learning week!
Have a lovely weekend
