Week beginning 27.5.24

Hello everyone and welcome to our weekly blog .

We have had another busy week

In PE we worked in teams and have been learning about striking and fielding.

“We worked on our throwing skills and batting skills and worked well together” (Harrison)

“I was great at rounders.” (Isabella)

In music this week we used technology to create our own music based on National Anthems. We used the iPads and a fantastic app to do this.

“In music we used an app to make a National Anthem based on a chosen country that we liked and  we created excellent music” (Aria)

“When we were using garage band it was fun because we could use almost any instrument” (Harry)

“In garage band we could chose between different themes and tunes to add to our national anthems”(Scarlett)

“Garage Band was really fun because we got to play about with it first and our songs had to sound like real National Anthems so it couldn’t be like rock n roll” – (Gurleen)

In writing we created a spooky imaginative story with a focus on vocabulary and plot.

I wrote a spooky story about an abandoned village it is terrifying (Haroon)

“I wrote about a zombie graveyard and used lots of scary words” (Jamie)

Have a wonderful weekend

week beginning 6/5/2024 and 13/5/2024

Hi everyone and welcome to our blog. We forgot to write our blog last week so here we are to let you know what has been going on in our class over the last two!

In Outdoor Learning we finally had a lovely day which meant we did some weeding and planting. We loved it and now have our own area in the woodlands for our plants to grow. We will make sure we water them regularly.

“Some weeds were had to pull out than others”. (Joshua)

“We had to take the roots out from the weeds to stop them re-growing”. (Haroon)

In Social Studies we are learning about the Olympics. We have researched the history of the games, the rings and the Olympic history of different countries. We also created our own medals using Jamboard, made posters about different Olympic sports and created our own National Anthems for our chosen country using various musical instruments.

“We used the Jamoboard and uploaded pictures of famous landmarks in France to create our 2024 medal. I enjoyed it”.  (Harry)

In PE we continue to improve our fitness levels by taking part in various races as part of athletics. We are really enjoying the hurdles and the long jump.

“We did long jump and we had to try and get a longer jump each time we did it!” (Calum).

Have a wonderful weekend!
