Week beginning 14th/21st March 2022

Welcome to this weeks blog!

Over the past couple of weeks we have been having lots of fun in Primary 3 and have been working really hard on our Bee Musical!  We are really looking forward to our performance and very excited for everybody to come and see it!

Literacy and English

We were learning about different openers – Lucy

We all had cards with different sentences on them and we had to think of exciting openers to add to the sentences – Sunny

After lunch most days, we have 10 minutes of silent reading to calm us down after we have been outside playing games and running – Rose

We all really enjoy reading as it is very calm – Abi

When people read they get new ideas for writing – Rhys

It can put pictures into your head of what is happening to the characters inside the book and it calms us down after lunch – Fynn

Numeracy and Maths

We went around the classroom and asked people questions like ‘whats your favourite food and movie’.  Then we recorded it in a tally chart – Abby

We gathered all the data that we used and we put it into a bar chart – Sadie

Everyone got 1 card with a number on it and a number that you are trying to find.  Then you had to find the number you were looking for and the other person had to find you.  You kept doing that until it created a big circle – Finn

We were learning about more than/less than and equals.

<is less than > is more than and this is equals = – Toby

Science Week!

For science week we watched an online lesson.

It was about different bugs.  At the start it was kind of gross because there was cow pats – Matthew

The bugs were called minibeasts and they looked in the poo to find the minibeasts- Freya

They were on a farm – Arran

Bee Musical!

We have had lots of fun practising this week and making props.

World Down Syndrome Awareness

On Monday, most of us in the class wore odd socks because there are things in your body that make you you! The reason why we wore odd socks is because the thing in your body that makes you you is socks! – Matthew

See you next week!
