Week Beginning 4/11/23

Primary 3 have been learning about adjectives and have enjoyed using the adjectives to describe items blindfolded.

We have been learning about Earthquakes and tectonic plates.  We used some yummy Oreos to demonstrate the plate movements.

 

Week Beginning 27/11/23

Primary 3 had the best time on their school trip to Amazonia!


We were very brave and  said hello to our new furry friend!

We faced our fears by holding slithering snakes and sticky insects (even Miss Trainer)!

Week beginning 20/11/23

Primary 3 have been learning about our new Natural Disasters topics.  We have been learning about Earthquakes and tectonic plates using jenga blocks!

P3 have enjoyed doing a 10 minute writing challenge and reading our stories to the class.

We have been continuing our Health and Wellbeing Bounce Back lessons on kindness and friendship.

Week Beginning 13/11/23

Primary 3 had lots of fun using the Bee-Bots in our Maths lesson!

We have been very active in PE and having dance brain breaks in class!

We have been reading about Sim Sock for Anti Bullying week and have designed our own.

We had a special visit from our new friend during show and tell this afternoon!

Week Beginning 6/11/23

Primary 3 have been leading this weeks PE lesson in tennis!  We have been very keen and eager to show off our skills.IMG_6400IMG_6401

In Health and Wellbeing, we have been focusing on friendships.  Primary 3 enjoyed working in a group  discussing friendship scenarios, and coming up with an appropriate solution (can you spot the big smiles and lost teeth?!).

As our Rainforest topic is coming to an end, our learners were very enthusiastic to showcase their own research!

Week Beginning 30/10/23

Primary 3 have been working very hard researching Rainforest animals and creating posters about the different plants!

We have been working in pairs creating excellent answers in comprehension.

The P3’s have brought in very interesting items for show and tell!

Week Beginning 23/1023

Primary 3 have been showing off their dancing talents to the class!

We have been learning about Rainforest Animal Food Chains and had fun creating our own!

Some of our pupils presented their own learning to our class.

Primary 3 have been enjoying practicing writing common words in sand!

There have been new learning stations around the classroom this week.  Everybody loved our writing station!

Week Beginning 09/10/23

Primary 3b have been exploring new digital skills using our Plickers cards for our IDL Rainforest topic quiz!

We  had fun exploring at  Woodland and creating birds nests from natural resources.

We had very proud smiles from  of our pupils who received an achievement certificate today.  Well done 🙂

It was very interesting to see the different items our classmates brought in for show and tell.  Even more talent was shown with some medals!

Week Beginning 6/10/23

Primary 3 have been learning about shapes and lines of symmetry for maths week Scotland.  We have been creating our own shapes using tape and chalk!

There were lots of smiles during our science experiment,  learning about our rainforest topic and how rain clouds produce rain.    We got very messy and covered in shaving foam!

Week Beginning 21/09/23

Primary 3 have been very active in PE practicing possession games and showing off our amazing dancing skills!

Primary 3 have been continuing our research about the Rainforest and came up with their own provocation.

More talent everyday in Primary 3!  Writing our own stories in our own time to share with the class.

 

Primary 3 have also enjoyed our new expert cards!  When someone finishes their work they can become an expert and help their peers 🙂
