We have worked on Pointillism in Expressive Arts this week. We could choose to use paint or pen to create a real or imaginary landscape view from a window. We added the window frame and a set of curtains.

 

In Mathematics we are exploring capacity. “That’s how much a thing can hold in it” (E.T). First we used marbles and cubes but we all got different answers.  Now we are measuring capacity using litres.

 

On Tuesday afternoon, we had Sports Day. There was a house relay race, which some of the children in P2a ran in.  We all cheered them on. We also did house races in Priamry 2. We did lots of different activities like spacehoppers, obstacle courses, hulahooping, football, hurdles, under and over with a ball, balancing, rugby and throwing.  Our family, friends and neighbours came to watch us. We had lots of fun at Sports Day.

In Literacy we have been learning the skill, clarifying.  This is when there is a word we don’t know the meaning of and you have to work it out.  We used a Dictionary to help us.
