S4 (& S5)

DESIGN COURSEWORK – students complete one SQA unit and a Portfolio based on a theme of their choice. Pupils continue to develop and apply their practical skills to their work, and they gain new Photoshop skills. They build upon the Art & Design Studies knowledge gained in S3 and further develop their critical evaluation skills.

EXPRESSIVE COURSEWORK – students complete a second SQA unit and a Portfolio based on a project and theme of their choice. Pupils continue to develop and apply their practical skills to their work. They build upon the Art & Design Studies knowledge gained in S3 and further develop their critical evaluation skills.

EXAM – Pupils complete a Question Paper exam and submit their Portfolios to the SQA around Easter time.
