NPA PHOTOGRAPHY

About the equivalent of a National 5, NPA Photography consists of four Units:

Understanding Photography – a theory based Unit in which pupils explore technical skills and concepts. They also develop their research and evaluative skills.

Working with Photographs – pupils learn to perform basic corrections and develop their organisation and presentation skills.

Photographing People – for this Unit, pupils explore a personal theme within the broad genre of portrait/figure. Students develop their ideas and produce a folio of work which they submit for assessment.

Photographing Places – like in the previous Unit, pupils explore a personal theme within the broad genre of landscape. Students develop their ideas and produce a folio of work which they submit for assessment.

There is no final exam for NPA Photography.
