Last week was Maths Week Scotland and P5 completed a STEM challenge as part of this.

We worked in mixed groups to make rockets. We tested out our designs and made any necessary adjustments to try and get our rockets to launch the further 😊 🚀.

We started the first lesson of our descriptive writing block today.

We read the story of the orca and then got into groups to identify the order of the structure of a descriptive piece of writing.

Each group correctly identified the structure of the story.

We then completed some shared writing altogether about the orca 😃.

P5a were this weeks assembly stars 🌟 we enjoyed an extra play on the trim trail as a reward 👏.

To end the week we had a little French sing-song 🇫🇷.

We made our Mark!

Both Primary 5 classes came together today to celebrate our stage Mass.

The children joined with Mass responses and sang the hymns beautifully.

Well done to our readers who showed confidence 🌟.

A mixture of pictures from a very busy week in P5a 😊.

The children have been enjoying private reading time in class 📚.

We were using the atlases to locate where Egypt is 🇪🇬.

Then to finish the week off, we played some rebound games to practise our hand to eye coordination 🎾 .

 

Well done to Isla-Rose and Annabelle who have both done some super research at home for our term 1 topic, Ancient Egypt 🇪🇬.

IDL fun!

We have been combining art, health and well-being and R.E. by discussing our gifts and talents and drawing them to describe our ‘inner selves’.

We had a super fun first week in P5 😃.

We got to try out the new trim trail in the front playground and we did lots of team working and used our creativity skills to discuss and identify the top 9 qualities of a good class mate 👍.
