Main duties/responsibilities:
 

Adcal Dental Lab is a Dental Laboratory based in Barrhead.  We are currently looking to employ a full time trainee Dental Lab Assistant to join our small team.

 

We provide the following services:

·         Prosthetic Denture Work

·         ​Cobalt Chrome

·         Orthodontics

·         ​Gum Shields

·         Whitening Trays

·         Hard and Soft Splints

·         Repair Services

 

Dental Lab Assistants are tasked with assisting Dental Technicians in the preparation, fabrication and finishing of dentures and dental devices. This hands-on position requires a moderate level of technical expertise.

 

What we are looking for:

  • A hardworking and self-motivated individual to work in our busy lab on a full time basis
  • An individual who is looking to begin a career with a dental laboratory
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Passionate about working within a busy hands-on environment
  • Good manual dexterity
  • Excellent attention to detail

INTERESTED IN CHILDCARE? – VOLUNTEERING OPPORTUNITIES WITH COSGROVE PLAY SCHEMES


 

CHILD SERVICES PLAY SCHEMES VOLUNTEERS

 

Cosgrove is looking for volunteers – 16 years plus – to volunteer with our Child Services play schemes during the spring and summer school holidays 2019.

April 1st – 4th and 8th – 11th

July 8th – Aug 9th

The play schemes run Monday to Thursday from 9 am – 4 pm and we can offer volunteers a range of days and times to suit, however we ask for a minimum commitment of two days volunteering, preferably consecutive days.

Based in our Connexions space at our head office at May Terrace, Giffnock, G46 6LD, volunteers will receive a full induction and will be supported at all times by our paid staff.

 

Volunteers will be involved in a variety of creative, fun and practical activities: arts and crafts group, music, drama, dance, baking. There is also scope for you to share your own particular hobbies and interests with the children, such as music or sport. There may also be opportunities for the volunteers to support our children with an activity in the wider community such as an outing to the local swimming pool, a soft play area or a day trip to the coast.

We would like to hear from people who are sensitive to the needs of others, are patient and understanding, have good listening skills, are creative and imaginative and are interested in making a difference.

In return you will get an opportunity to further develop these skills and gain valuable knowledge and an awareness of disabilities and the range of behaviours within the Autism Spectrum. These volunteering opportunities will be of particular interest to those wishing to pursue higher education courses and careers in the health and caring professions.

MORGAN STANLEY TECHNOLOGY GRADUATE APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAMME OPEN EVENING – THURSDAY 28 FEBRUARY 2019

Just a quick reminder that we will be hosting an Open Evening in our office in Glasgow next Thursday 28th February at 6pm for any students who might be interested/have applied for our Technology Graduate Apprenticeship Programme.

 

This is an opportunity for students, parents and teachers to get an overview of the course from a representative from the University of Strathclyde, and information on the application and selection process from Morgan Stanley’s recruitment team. The Apprenticeship Programme is aimed at High School leavers and offers an alternative to the traditional University route by providing the opportunity to study towards a qualification, whilst gaining practical industry experience and earning a salary.
