AKELA CONSTRUCTION , THORNLIEBANK – TECHNICAL ASSISTANT VACANCY

Akela Construction Ltd, a local Civil Engineering & Groundworks Contractor based in Thornliebank Industrial Estate are seeking a school leaver/young individual to join the company as a Technical Assistant to complement the existing Technical team.

The role will be office based, assisting with administrative duties and the flow of information through the technical department of the company.  We will seek to develop the correct candidate into the technical side of the business (Earthworks Modelling/CAD drawing/design), with further education via day release to ultimately achieve qualification as a CAD Technician.  There may also be opportunity for site experience with our setting out engineers.

The role would ideally be suited to a mature 5/6th year student leaving school with a good standard of education.  The use of Microsoft office/excel is essential.  Autocad skills would be advantageous but not essential.  The ideal candidate should be punctual with a good attitude to work/work ethic and a willingness to learn.
