The Department of Architecture is seeking to appoint a modern apprentice technician to provide support to the technical and IT functions (workshop, facilities, computing and equipment) of the Department. You should have a keen interest in developing a range of technical and IT skills. Your main role will be in supporting the Computing officer in dealing with IT support within the department and you will work towards A Diploma for Information Technology and Telecommunications Professionals as part of the Telecommunications framework.

The Modern Apprenticeship programme is co-ordinated within the University and gives the successful candidate an opportunity to “earn and learn” as they will achieve a SQA qualification during the 2 year programme. You must be aged 16-19 in order to apply for this position.

Initial interviews have been scheduled for 28 February 2017.

TRAINEE TYRE FITTER VACANCY – PAISLEY

Performance Tyres, Unit 1, Abercorn Street, Paisley are looking for a Trainee Tyre Fitter to start asap. They are looking for someone who is keen, willing to learn, has common sense and good practical skills. The job is physically demanding and they need a bit of height to be able to stretch and reach equipment. They will be trained up on the job and be paid the minimum wage.
