P2a chose to start Term 2 with a topic on all things spooky!
We had great fun using Halloween across our learning.
To begin the day we always start with Speedy Skills. We practiced our skills in addition to 20. We use lots of different strategies to help us answer the questions such as Numicon or a number-line or our mental strategies! It revealed a horrible Frankenstein!
We also created some spooky stories to tell our friends. We rolled the dice to determine the setting, character and a particularly spooky key word we need to use! Here are some stories we created.
In Art we made our own sun catchers in the shape of Jack-o-Lanterns and learnt about the story of why we carve pumpkins!
We celebrated our own class Halloween Party with a Dress Up as a Mummy competition, Spooky Corners and a Halloween Dance off! Thank you to the Parent Council for arranging our treats!
