Save the date – Scottish Education Exhibition
I’m excited to let you know about plans to host a free, virtual Scottish Education Exhibition in September for senior phase pupils across Scotland who are considering their pathways to further and higher education.
The event will take place on Thursday 9 September from 10am – 7pm and we hope schools will set aside time on this day for pupils to attend.
The Scottish Education Exhibition is being hosted by 14 Scottish universities, three colleges, SDS and SAAS. It will give senior phase pupils the chance to chat to representatives from each of the institutions, view information and videos, download prospectuses and join live webinars covering subjects including:
We appreciate that it’s difficult to make decisions about further study when there’s still uncertainty around open days and large-scale events. The Scottish Education Exhibition is being designed with pupils in mind to provide them with everything they need to make the right decisions and their next steps. |

Girls’ Education Declaration for Woodfarm
As a Rights Respecting School we are committed to promoting the Rights of others. With the G7 Summit fast approaching, we have been tasked with creating our own Girls’ Education Declaration for Woodfarm.
The short video below explains a little more about this and why it’s so important.
UNICEF will collect these Declarations and share them with the UK Government in order to ensure that the officials working on global education policy and commitments for the G7 will have heard from children and young people in the UK about what is important to them.
The Declaration will look at three key areas:
- The challenges that girls’ face in accessing education and why it’s important;
- What we will do in our school to support girls’ education
- Our calls for G7 leaders to take action on girls’ education
