Girls’ Education Declaration for Woodfarm

As a Rights Respecting School we are committed to promoting the Rights of others. With the G7 Summit fast approaching, we have been tasked with creating our own Girls’ Education Declaration for Woodfarm.

The short video below explains a little more about this and why it’s so important.

UNICEF will collect these Declarations and share them with the UK Government in order to ensure that the officials working on global education policy and commitments for the G7 will have heard from children and young people in the UK about what is important to them.

The Declaration will look at three key areas:

  • The challenges that girls’ face in accessing education and why it’s important;
  • What we will do in our school to support girls’ education
  • Our calls for G7 leaders to take action on girls’ education
