Former Williamwood High School pupil Róisín Arnold is currently completing the third of her five year MA course is Aeromechanical Engineering at Strathclyde University. As a member of University of Strathclyde Motorsport (USM) team, she is working with her teammates and an organisation in Glasgow called ‘This is Makers’ sourcing materials and making essential PPE for the NHS and carers, they are using their own 3D printers and cutters to make protective visors like this one as well as other PPE equipment. The PPE production started last week and so far they have made 150 items and are hoping to make 3000 within a month. All donations are used for materials and all items meet the required NHS and HS standards.
