East Renfrewshire’s Vocational Professional Cookery Programme Banquet
East Renfrewshire’s secondary schools participate in a Professional Cookery programme with Glasgow Clyde College, with the focus of the programme is a combination of practical kitchen skills in food preparation and the attainment of units at SCQF Level 4 of a National Progression Award.
The programme culminated yesterday evening with an evening banquet in Carmichael Hall, where pupils worked together to prepare, cook and serve a three course gourmet meal, assisted by En Croute catering staff, to invited guests including Councillors, Representatives from our Partner Colleges and Employers, Senior Education staff, Head Teachers and parents.
The banquet was, once again, an overwhelming success and an enjoyable evening was had by all.
Our school was represented by Robert Hunt 6A5 and former pupil – Richard Osborn – who received Certificates of Participation from Stephen Sanderson of Glasgow Clyde College.
