Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service Debating Competition.
On Tuesday night, four members of the St Ninian’s Public Speaking and Debate Society (Sam Parker, Daniel Boyle, Joshua Parker and Jeremiah Lawson) took part in the East Renfrewshire Heat of the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service Debating competition.
Both teams delivered excellent thought provoking speeches on the topic of “The fashion world and media put too much pressure on young people today.” There speeches were well structured, developed and presented with confidence.
Although the students did not secure a place in the next round of the competition, they received wonderful feedback from the judges. It was also a great opportunity for them to meet other young people from the surrounding area that share the same love for public speaking. A massive well done to the two teams involved.
