Weekly Prayers
Monday 5 February
Heavenly father, I am your humble servant,
I come before you today in need of hope.
There are times when I felt helpless,
There are times when I feel weak.
I pray for hope
Help me to walk in your light, and live
my life in faith and glory.
In your name I pray.

Tuesday 6 February
Heavenly father, I am your humble servant,
I come before you today in need of hope.
I need hope for a calm and joyful future.
I need hope for love and kindness.
I pray for peace and safety.
Some say that the sky is at its
darkest just before the light.
I pray that this is true, for today seems stormy and dim.
I need your light, Lord, in every way.
I pray to be filled with your light.
Help me to walk in your light, and live
my life in faith and service.
In your name I pray.

Wednesday 7 February
Today is the Feast of Saint Paul of Miki a Jesuit novice who had just completed eleven years of training. Paul’s noble family was converted when he was a child and at age five he was baptised. Educated by Jesuits, the gifted youth joined their novitiate at age twenty-two. He had studied intensively the teachings of the Buddhists so as to be able to debate their priests. Sadly he was martyred at a very young age

Thursday 8 February
Almighty God May You go before me and lead me. I pray that I would allow Your Holy Spirit to guide me today and that I would be a light to others. May Your light shine through me and may Your love bless those around me. I pray that I would be patient, kind, and considerate. I pray that Your character would flow from me as I put others first.

Friday 9 February
I pray to be filled with your light from head to toe.
To bask in your glory.
To know that all is right in the world, as you have planned, and as you want
it to be.
Help me to walk in your light, and live my life in faith and glory.
In your name I pray.
