Grand Final of the Renfrew Speaker’s Club ‘S3 Youth Speech’ Competition
Three members of the St Ninian’s Public Speaking and Debate Society (Tom McHugh, Kate McLaughlin and Eve Turnbull) had the pleasure of participating in the Grand Final of the Renfrew Speaker’s Club ‘S3 Youth Speech’ competition at the Normandy Hotel last night.
The team performed brilliantly, captivating their audience with an intriguing presentation on whether social media companies should have a more interventionist monitoring role in the fight against cyber bullying.
Although the students did not secure the winning place, they found the evening a great opportunity to meet like-minded public speakers, hone their skills and receive quality feedback from the judging panel. Well done!
