O2 and NSPCC would like to invite all parent/carers or family members to a free online safety work to be held at St Ninian’s on the 7th March 2018 at 7pm.  The content covered in the workshops is aimed at adults.  Parent with children are advised to arrange childcare if possible

You may have noticed in the media this week that Early Years Scotland, in partnership with Skills Development Scotland (SDS) and the Daily Record, has been extensively promoting and advertising our exciting first ever Careers Morning.

Early Years Scotland has been funded by SDS to organise and deliver this event to support the national expansion of the ELC workforce by 2020.

SCHOOL APPLICATION WEEK FOR A PRIMARY 1 PLACE

Applications for places in East Renfrewshire primary schools will take place from Monday 15 January until Friday 19 January between 1.45pm and 3.15pm. Parents and carers of children who will be five-years-old between March 2018 and February 2019 should apply to their local denominational or non-denominational school at this time. A number of documents are required to be brought along for the application process, and it is important these are produced so that the application process runs as smoothly as possible. Documents required are:

  • Child’s full birth certificate
  • Current Council Tax notice
  • Roman Catholic baptismal certificate (if applicable)
  • Mortgage statement or signed and witnessed rental agreement for a period of at least one year
  • Child benefit statement
  • Driving license, recent utility bill (within last 3 months) or recent bank statement can also be accepted if no longer in receipt of child benefit

Office 365 ProPlus

All Glow users, can get copies of Microsoft Office 2016 to use on their home devices – PC, Mac, phones and tablets.

This will enable the use of a range of Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, OneNote etc) on up to 15 home devices without cost (the 15 licences being split as 5 for PCs and/or Macs, 5 for tablets and 5 for phones).

To do this, login to Glow, from the launch pad click the Office 365 Home tile (image below) then the “Install Office apps” button and follow the instructions.
