Talent ID Day Saturday 5th February

Talent ID Day: Saturday 15th February

East Renfrewshire’s Active School Team and Swimming Development have organised in partnership with Scottish Disability Sport their annual Talent Identification Day. This is an opportunity for young people across East Renfrewshire who have a physical disability or visual impairment to come along and participate in a number of sports delivered by top coaches from around Scotland.

The event if for pupils aged 9-25 years and will be held at the NEW Eastwood High Sports Centre from 12.15-3pm. The last few years have been a great success so we hope we can build on the success from that and get more young people involved in sports. The pupils will be taking part in JUDO, Basketball and Swimming. Coaches will identify anyone that could potentially compete at a Local and National level.

If you need more information please do not hestitate to get in touch with the Active Schools team on 07800629690.

Visit by Mounted Police

Yesterday we had some very special visitors to Primary 7. Following a letter from Liam, one of our P7 pupils, we were visited by the mounted police and two beautiful horses. The visit by the police was expected but the horses were an added bonus and a wonderful surprise. The pupils have since been complimented on their exemplary behaviour.

Thanks to everyone invoved

Gabriel’s Big Break & Seasonal Songs

Congratulations to everyone involved in our Christmas production.

The children put on three  fantastic shows this week. “Gabriel’s Big Break” performed by Primary 3 was a resounding success and the singing by Primary 1 and 2 was enjoyed by all.  Our brass and string groups and St  Cadoc’s school choir also entertained us with a variety of Christmas songs.

Thanks to all our hardworking staff and pupils for making this such a great success.
