Award winning author and poet James Carter will be visiting St Cadoc’s on the 19th March. James is a musical poet and he will engage the children in poetry and song! There will be an opportunity for children to have copies of James’ book signed.
Well done to Isla Ward who won a medal for relay racing in an Athletics competition, and to Katie Harvey who won a trophy for taking part in a Dancing competition.
We enjoyed a variety of different activities to celebrate Book Day. We had fun dressing up as our favourite story characters, took part in a bookmark competition, read our stories at assembly and enjoyed a reading afternoon.
Congratulations to some of our pupils who recently won medals and a trophy in a skiing competion. Well done Thomas Isla, Erin and Luke.
We will be celebrating World Book Day on Friday 14th March. Pupils may come dressed as their favourite character from a book and prizes will be given for the best costumes. Over the last two weeks pupils have been writing stories using one of the SHANARRI indicators as their theme. The winners from each stage will be rewarded with a certificate and the overall winners will receive book tokens. Throughout the day pupils will be involved in a variety of events. For example, they will design a bookmark, be involved in writing poetry based on the work of poet James Carter and take part in a reading afternoon.

Please note the next meeting of the Parent Council is on 11th March. There has also been a change to the date of the April meeting. It is now 22nd April, not 29th to avoid clashing with the P7 Confirmation meeeting.
