GOMA Workshops

Interested in doing something different over the holidays, these workshops might be for you.

Glasgow International Festival of Arts, Teenage Workshops (16-18)

£10 per week of 4 x 2hour sessions

We have arranged two very special workshops suitable for teenagers over the Easter Holidays. These workshops will be run in partnership with practising artists and organisations to give a fantastic opportunity for those attending. Based on the two exhibitions currently in GoMA for the GI Arts Festival the attended will work along side local contemporary artist, develop new skills and produce work at the end of each week long sessions. Each session consist of 4 afternoon workshops, Monday to Thursday, 2pm – 4pm.

‘Collect, Cut, Collage’

Be inspired by Sue Tompkins’s coming to Orzak, Play with words rhythm, repetition, and tempo. Arrange phrases, lyrics, images, combine snatches of materials and media. Compose a series of two dimensional works on paper in a series of workshops led by artist Amy Marletta.

‘Sci-fi print ’

Taking inspiration from the artist Aleksandra Domanovic, create cool designs by layering, cutting and composing. This is a great opportunity to try out some very different creative techniques.
