Congratulations to Ms Kelly and Miss Howard’s Pupils of the Month, keep up the outstanding work!

Over the last 4 weeks pupils from St Joseph’s have been visiting the Art Department to explore pattern, print, mark making and paper manipulation to create a mask based on African animals.  Pupils did a fantastic job, see the results here.  Well done!

Congratulations to Roslyn Broadley and Rachel Swan on being awarded Miss McCarley’s pupils of the month, great effort!  Well done!

Miss McCarley’s S3 class have been busy working away on design samples.  They have created some great pieces that we look forward to seeing developed into design solutions.  Keep up the good work!

Miss Howard’s class have been busy working on creating felting pieces as part of their design unit.  We are looking forward to seeing the  finished felt forms.

A number of S2 pupils joined Janet Forry and her team for a printmaking workshop in Eastwood Gallery last week.  Pupils were able to explore poly tile printing, etching, screen printing and mono print.  We are hopeful that some of the work produced will be used for the 2014 Electric Glen Lighting Festival in Rouken Glen Park to create light projections in he form of gobos.  We’ll keep you posted.
