Pupil Evaluation
We are delighted to see the work of S2 pupils culminate in a fabulous stain glass window that has been designed and installed by stain glass artist Alec Galloway. The window has been installed in the school forum and is a great centre piece for this busy area of the school. The pupils drawings explored the theme of ‘Creation’ and have been transferred onto the glass using a specialist screen printing technique. We are all loving the results, well done S2!

Our S6 advanced higher pupils completed a community placement at Glenwood Nursery led by Miss Howard. Pupils helped the nursery pupils and staff to put together a 3D relief mural based on the season. The relief panels were put in place for the opening exhibition on Thursday the 20th of June. Also on display was all the work produced by the nursery pupils exploring the seasons through colour and texture. A fantastic effort by all involved, well done. Miss McCarley would like to say a huge thank you to all staff, pupils, parents and the work done by WST Travel for a fabulous trip to Berlin last week. Your help in organising and ensuring that the trip went smoothly is very much appreciated. We are in the process of putting together a photo collage of all the best bits that will shortly be on display in the school forum. Now on to planning next years trip!
Our first full day in Berlin and it has been action packed! We went on a city art tour, created our own spray paint painting, visited the Reichstag Dome, went through the Brandenburg Gate, stopped off to see the holocaust memorial, went up the TV tower and did a quick spot of shopping in Alexander Platz before dinner in Alte Der Fritz. Miss Kelly’s class have been working on landscapes based on creative text produced by Mrs Lamont’s English pupils that focused on spring. We are looking forward to seeing the finished pieces of work, pupils have made a great start

Miss McCarley’s 3H started working from creative text’s written by Mrs Lamont’s English class that describe the summer season. Here are a few of their initial charcoal studies influenced by the work of Van Gogh.
