We would like the children to design a card to celebrate the festival of Eid celebrated by Muslims at the end of Ramadan.

There will be a 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed winner at every stage.

The card winning 1st place from P1-P3 and P4-P7 will be entered into the final
competition with other schools and Nicola Sturgeon, Deputy First Minister of Scotland, will chose the winning design to be printed.

What do you need to do?

  • Produce a card using A4 paper
  • Use any materials
  • Record your full name and class on the back of the card
  • Return to your DHT by Friday 30 May

Bikeability – Request for Help

Primary 6 began their Bikeability training this week.

In order to train the children effectively, both in the playground and on road we require several adult helpers. The training sessions will take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays and last from now until the end of term. The ratio to train children is a minimum of 1:8 and unfortunately, if we do not have enough adult helpers for each session we will have to look at cancelling this initiative. We are, therefore, looking to the wider school community to ask for offers of assistance with the training.

I realise that many parents will be unable to help, but if time and other commitments permit, I would appreciate your offer to assist in this scheme.

Please complete and return the attached slip to the school indicating your availability to assist with the training from next week onwards.

Yours sincerely
