Enrolment Dates for P1: Monday 11 January – Friday 15 January

Enrolment takes place at the main school office.  You are required to bring with you the following documentation:

• Your child’s Birth Certificate
• Your Child Benefit Statement
• A copy of your current council tax notice, your mortgage statement rental agreement or title deeds

Please note it is not necessary for your child to attend although they are welcome to do so.

We need volunteers to help set up the Fayre on Friday night and also to run the fayre on Saturday.  We only have 16 volunteers so far and require at least 40.  If anyone can spare an hour or two please contact Janet Olverman, email:  janet.olverman@ntlworld.com or 07852202416.

We also need a couple of volunteers to help the janitor put away the tables after the fayre, otherwise we will be charged for the hire of a second janitor.

We require donations for:
Nearly New Toys & Books – good quality only please
Tombola – both adult and children’s
Raffle
Home Baking – please bring to school on Friday evening or Saturday morning during setting up.

Please could you drop donations into the school during week commencing 30^th November.

Thank you for your support – let’s make this a fabulous fayre to be proud of and raise lots of money for the benefit of all the children at Mearns Primary.

Children are invited to wear an item or accessory of tartan on Monday, 30 November to celebrate St Andrew’s Day and to support the PTA.  On this day, the PTA is providing shortbread for all the pupils and would ask for a donation in return to help support the Christmas Fayre event.

December Diary Dates

We would like pupils to create a design for the Official Mearns Primary mug.

We will be accepting entries from each stage and each department will have their very own mug.

Please click on the link for criteria and a template on PowerPoint for the design.  Designs will also be accepted on paper.  Please ensure the paper is the correct size.

All entries should be sent to Miss Cumming by Monday 7th December.

Please ensure full name and class are on your creation.
