World Book Day Assembly 2017

What a wonderful week of World Book Day activities organised by Mrs Barron and Miss Dewhurst.

We’ve had storytelling, sensory story with Mrs Wako, visits to book stores and libraries. Our week finished with a whole school assembly and Miss Scrimgeour’s legendary quiz.

Thank you to everyone for participating in this years activities.

Elf on the Shelf

Class Mull took delivery of our Elf on the shelf on Friday and had great fun entertaining him in class whilst they were under Santa Surveillance .

He took himself off on a tour of the school and he was found on the Christmas tree in the Mod.
He also had some sensory play but made a little bit of a mess and tried to get some tissues to clean up the mess!

The boys took him out on an outing and he visited the dentist with them, lots of positive praise all round.

ISS@IMS Halloween Enterprise

Mrs Laurie’s ISS@IMS groups baked  and decorated Class Arran for a wonderful Halloween Party, as part of their Enterprise work for the Personal Achievement Award at N2.

The party was thoroughly enjoyed by class Arran and class Bute pupils.

The school Kitchen staff joined in and  Head teacher, Mrs Clark  judged the Scary Witch competition.  The winner was  Brian Smith, Warlock and Music therapist!!!

Well done to all!

This performance provides a relaxed environment with elements of the production adapted to reduce anxiety or stress including:

– Adjustments to sound and lighting to soften their impact.
– Support resources to help you prepare for the visit.
– Trained staff and volunteers on hand to help.
– Chill-out areas with activities for people to use if being in the  auditorium becomes overwhelming for them.

Arrangements can also be made for people who would like to visit the theatre in advance in order to prepare for the visit.
